  • Share your cool finds at solves

    Found a timecapsule and some obsidian artifacts. It was pretty exciting and great to get to see some country we likely never would have seen otherwise. Unfortunately inclement weather cut our search dramatically, but it was awesome just the same. Curious what other searchers have found in their solve areas?

          Abel #1 fly reel. Numbered 16 of 600. Found on an island

            Old boundary sign buried under a 18” rotted log. Saw the corner sticking up.

                  That’s an old wheel from the old lumber mill at WWWH.
                  Dug out of willows in Henry’s Fork of the Snake River.

                      That round metal thing had turned wood in it. Some kind of log roller. Horse shoe found same area at Warm River. It’s a planter now.

                          This contraption I think held logs as they were pulled from the river. Near it on the rivers edge was 18 inch rotted redwood beams layed in the ground about 12 inches apart. The logs were drug up this wood ramp and pulled to the mill. The next picture is the cable knot found in the river.

                            This is the knot from the cable that pulled the logs out of the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River.
