  • The Skripal affair: a lie too far?

Strategic Culture Foundation is a Russian journal - it is partisan.

The current UK government is lackluster and frequently incompetent, but has no motive for attempting to assassinate a Russian who was imprisoned in his own country for treason and then defected.

The Skripals were poisoned in Salisbury, with knock-on effects for thousands of local residents - not least the policeman who attended to them. It is an extremely imprecise way for anyone with any concern for their own citizens to conduct such an operation.

The Russians have assassinated other opponents residing in Britain in the past - they have a track record.

The OPCW confirmed the use of the Novichok agent.

A Russian scientist bravely admitted that he had been one of those responsible for producing Novichok, and confirmed that it had not been included in the ban under the Chemical Weapons Treaty. He was recently involved in an "accident" when a car failed to slow down and struck him as he attempted to use a crosswalk. Fortunately for him, he survived.

It has been reported that the Skripals are to be offered a new identity by the CIA. Certainly, by all accounts, the daughter had no wish to meet Russian consular officials as she recovered from her ordeal.

If the British had wanted to kill the Skripals, why put so much effort into helping them recover?

Just as a follow-up to what I wrote above, I'd like to add something chase-related. To solve Fenn's puzzle you need to use logic. If you want to get a sensible handle on the Skripal affair you also need to apply logic. Linking to biased reporting is similar to using the blogs to trying to solve the poem. There is a lot of bluster, but very little useful evidence.

Wow that all seems a lil crazy and not at correct. I think you all might need to start back at the begging and then might realize that there is no treasure chest or spoon just a vortex of 369

This thread is like listening to a person argue with oneself. I quite enjoy it.

                          Did Skripal solve the poem?
I think it translates different to Russian.
WWWH doesn’t make any sense at all when translated to Russian. Go figure.

I remember the Crane Wife story! Wow haven't heard or seen a reference to it in a long time. It is a sad story.
